As an international passenger terminal, Erfurt-Weimar Airport has been specially designed for disabled access. All essential routes are wheelchair-friendly and capable staff are always on hand to assist you to the aircraft.
If you would like to make use of the services for disabled passengers available at the airport, we kindly ask you to register early. All airlines involved in your travel plans will be immediately informed at the time of booking by your travel agent and can take all necessary measures for the flights and coordinate with us and the relevant airports. Alternatively, you could contact the airlines directly. Our service will be in place from the moment you arrive at the terminal (please report to the Information desk or Check-in counter) to the moment you are handed over to the flight crew (or vice versa), all arranged by trained staff. At your request, our service staff can assist you free of charge from the check-in counter to the aircraft and vice versa upon arrival.
Our airport service can provide wheelchairs on request to transport you to or from the aircraft. This service is free of charge.
Designated spaces for passengers with reduced mobility can be found in the outdoor car park and the multi-storey car park a short distance from the terminal. At the airport, parking for passengers with reduced mobility (German ID “H” / “aG” / “BL”) is free of charge. Please retain your parking ticket for presentation of your certificate of disability to the information desk in Terminal B. There is no need to arrange this with your travel agent.
Sanitary facilities such as disabled toilets and washrooms are located in the terminal and are clearly signposted. The facilites are appropriately identified.
