
Alongside the regular scheduled airlines and charters, Erfurt-Weimar Airport can also be used for general aviation. Only gliders, balloons, ultralight aircraft and airships require a special permit.
24-hour operation (between 10pm and 6am with prior approval) provides every pilot with the opportunity to fly into the airport of the Thuringian state capital.
The air traffic control staff will be happy to answer any of your questions about flight restrictions at night, on Sundays or on public holidays.
The general aviation premises are located in Operational building 1 and have a separate entrance, where the security checks and, if necessary, customs clearance are carried out between 6am and 10pm (other times on request).
